SickBuildingSyndrome.uk is a UK consultancy focused exclusively on sick building syndrome, building-related illness and workplace indoor environmental quality. We are independent of HVAC contractors, fit-out firms and building product manufacturers — our role is to give building owners, employers and occupants a defensible, evidence-based picture of the indoor environment and a ranked plan to improve it.

Our work spans commercial offices, schools, healthcare administrative space and hospitality, with investigations sized from single-floor enquiries to multi-building portfolios. Every project combines a structured occupant survey, multi-week instrumented monitoring of the parameters that matter (CO₂, VOCs, formaldehyde, PM2.5/PM10, temperature, humidity, ventilation rate), and a written report benchmarked against BS EN 16798-1, AD-F, CIBSE TM40 and the WELL Building Standard where relevant.

We hold ourselves to a simple test: would the report stand up in front of a finance director, an HR director, and an occupant representative simultaneously? That is the bar every investigation has to clear.
